Virus Attack
This painting shows microscopic-sized influenza viruses attacking us through our lung's interior linings. These viruses can be seen swimming in the liquid mucus among our lung cilia and trying to get themselves attached and next infect us. Cilia are microscopic size hair-like structures that flex together to push the mucus liquid to move along our lung lining.
