This the 5th of six panels each panel showing a few paintings of significant people or events in Modern World History since WWII. …. From the left, painting #13 is a semi-abstract depiction of the Internet revolution that has, since the 1990s, caused a paradigm change in the world's business, economic and many other human activities.
.... Painting #14 shows the twin towers of New York World Trade Center in flame before their complete collapse killing thousands on Sept 11, 2001. This is the result of a deadly attack on the US by the Al Qaeda terrorist group.
.... Painting #15 shows a bronze statue of Saddam Hussein in Bagdhad being pulled down, and a giant Buddha statue in Afghanistan before and after Taliban's bombing destruction. These depict the US lead Iraq 'war' from 2001 and Afghanistan 'war' from 2003. Both wars keep dragging on for years and have not been able to end.
